The NeckFlex™ is designed to provide ergonomic support and neck pain relief by dynamically adapting to your sleeping positions. Follow these instructions to use it correctly and get the best results:
1. Initial Positioning:
Place the NeckFlex™ on the bed:
Make sure the pillow is aligned with the top edge of the mattress, where your head and neck will rest. The breathable gray cover should be facing up (the cover is removable and washable, as indicated on similar products such as the I Wanna Sleep Relax® Cervical Spine Pillow).
Identify the curves of the pillow:
The NeckFlex™ has a contoured design with two heights: a higher edge (for side support) and a lower curve (for back support). The higher edge should face your preferred side (left or right) if you sleep on your side, or downward if you sleep on your back.
2. Adjust to Your Sleeping Position

If you are a side sleeper (most recommended position):
Place the upper edge of the NeckFlex™ under your neck, filling the space between your shoulder and ear. This creates a 90-degree angle between your neck and shoulder, keeping your spine aligned (as recommended by Duoflex and Dr. Alberto Gotfryd).
The memory foam will adjust to the weight of your head, providing firm support on the sides and softness in the center.
For added comfort, place a thin pillow between your knees, as suggested by Duoflex, to align your hips and lower back.
If you are a back sleeper:
Position the lower curve of the NeckFlex™ under your neck, filling the natural space between your neck and the mattress. This prevents hyperextension of the neck (as recommended by Dr. Gotfryd).
The Adaptive Dynamic Support Technology will adjust the support to maintain the natural curvature of your cervical spine, without forcing your neck forward or backward.
To relax your lower back, place a thin pillow under your knees, keeping them semi-flexed, as recommended by Duoflex.
If you sleep on your stomach (less recommended):
Although sleeping on your stomach is not recommended by experts (such as Dr. Gotfryd and Duoflex) due to the pressure on your cervical spine, the NeckFlex™ can minimize the impact. Use a lower curve of the pillow under your forehead, keeping your neck as neutral as possible.
Place a thin pillow under your abdomen, at waist level, to reduce excessive curvature of your lower back (as suggested by Duoflex).
3. Adjusting to the NeckFlex™
Adaptation period:
Since the NeckFlex™ is an ergonomic pillow, it may take 5 to 10 days for your body to adjust, especially if you have previously used a traditional pillow. This is common with memory foam pillows, as mentioned by Duoflex, which advises an adjustment period of up to 15 days.
Test the alignment:
Lie down and have someone check that your head and neck are aligned with your torso, as if you were standing up (as per Theva's tip). If your neck is tilted up or down, adjust the position of the pillow or switch sides (high edge to low edge, or vice versa).
